Make sure you have a good healthy network of people who know you (and hopefully like you). You will need them to:

  • provide advice
  • provide services to you like training, job finding, trades people for a new business premises etc
  • look out for work for you, and recommend you

There are some good tools to help you manage a network, like LinkedIn or Plaxo
